American Red Cross of Central Texas - Co-founder of Club Red Austin for the American Red Cross of Central Texas.
In 2010 I was approached by the Red Cross board along with several others to co-found and form an organization to address the local chapter's need for younger volunteers and to help support their overall mission. What resulted was Club Red; a professional group committed to serving the American Red Cross through fundraising, volunteering, mentoring, building awareness, and connecting the community. Since it's founding the chapter has grown to over 100 members, has held numerous events, raised tens of thousands of dollars and has devoted thousands of volunteer hours in support of our mission. I also served the organization as its longest serving board member.
The American Red Cross exists to provide compassionate care to those in need. The Red Cross does this through a focus on five key service area: Disaster Relief, Supporting America's Military Families, Lifesaving Blood, Health and Safety Services and International Services. The Central Texas Chapter was formed in 1916 and is based in Austin.
